The layoff I saw were all based on last I , first out. Even folks on PIP’s were saved.

I'm an old guy with the knowledge I need to perform my job and that's a lot more than I can say for the newbies that have been brought on board! I'm retirement eligible, but not gonna leave because I'm not saving anybody's job just because they're young and feel entitled! It's too bad your position is at risk, should have been more prepared education and skill-set wise! It's up to every individual to keep their marketability up to snuff, not my responsibility to leave early because your employment is at risk!

This is what 2 decades of public school brainwashing gets you nowadays!! These are the people that will be raising future generations?!??? Just some wise advice….nobody “deserves” anything in life, you EARN what you put into it!!!

Is the American workforce finally figuring you are nothing but a number to these employers. Loyalty and skill set mean nothing anymore to corporate structure. Worse yet, we have been bamboozeled into tying our retirement plans into this cr---y system where once again, only corporate execs continue to benefit! They get the golden parachutes and we get another all hands meeting telling us how great we are blah,blah,blah but with the current state of economy we need to cut this benefit, layoff for the inevitable recession etc…. It’s always going great when there “annual” package comes up for bonuses but somehow it’s always doom and gloom when it comes to the minions. This did not happen overnight folks….Wake-up not Woke!!
They haven’t cared about quality in decades, they just want cheap.
