As someone that worked (past tense) within a group that WFH for HW since March 2020, I have to say that imo it really just depends on the person. If a person does not have a good work ethic, that will not change whether WFH walking their dog (Lol) or in the office on a personal call, talking to their neighbor, walking around the building, etc. There really are some positions that work more efficiently remotely, and being in the office is just a waste of time. I think some ppl forget that when working for HW and WFH, you are paying your own additional electric & internet costs (and remember, during the pandemic we didn’t have a choice, had to WFH unexpectedly because buildings closed, but were never offered/given a stipend, had to pay for own home office setup, etc. too)

Calling Musk a bellend is meant as an insult of course. But, I am sure you are aware of the usefulness of a bellend in your daily activity.

Musk knows people WFH are slacking off half of the time. He's doing something about it.

The difference is that their employees are paid 2x what honeywells are.
Money isn’t important for twitter… it’s a statement of stupidity by musk who clearly got fedup by the multitude of H1B and Ramesh and friends he is getting rid of them
@1diu ‐ exactly it isnt the hours.. it is honeywell's attitude that money outweigh's the best interest of customers. I feel dirty. The whole thing reeks of fraud.
My friends at twitter make north of 350k as software engineers working in Texas.
Double my pay and I might consider working more .. as long as there was real demand and not just Honeywell wanting to sc--w customers.
Not quite the same. I have seen videos on social media for years from Twitter employees bragging how good they had it. Elon needs to break the culture to be profitable.
Elon ==> his money his rules.
Honeywell ==> your money MY rules.

For those of us that have to be in the plant 5 days a week we don't really feel sorry for those s-b stories about coming in 3 days a week.
I'm fine if the company wants to allow remote working but those that do should bump in pay or reduce those that remote work since they are saving sooo much money.
Just as an example of why there is frustration with SOME remote workers is when I was in a call and one person was speaking while he was walking his dog. REALLY? It was his meeting with his presentation and he couldn't present?
I highly suspect that Twitter was an overemployed doss house and Elons just getting the house in order. It will be succesful despite the 'media' outrage and vitriol. Honeywell on the other hand..... well the ships just sinking and it's leaders keep steeling more bolts off the ship to sell for scrap to boost their exit fund.
Twitter will just embolden Honeywell.
