run far far far away from this company and consider it a blessing you don't have to put up with the cesspool anymore.

plenty of great companies to work for that actually appreciate employees and treat them fairly.

I left on my own after 17 years and it was the best decision in my life. I didn't realize how bad of company att was until I left. The only regret I have is I did not do it sooner.

Got my pension lump sum and I will have much more money than if I left it with rand's creative accounting.

My suggestion is to find a better company and start enjoying life. Not hard to find a better company.

Don't move for att. They will just do the same to you unless you are related to someone or is someone's buddy with connections.

To answer the questions … BAT is Business Acquisition Team. There job is to go and find business and grow it. Dual comp is what they want to get rid of because the way it was working if a BAT team member went and sold something, the account manager would get paid the, mobility overlay would get paid, and all they way up! The issue was most account managers did so little work that they would have 2nd jobs or businesses that they would own and run because everything rolled up to them. They did not have any relationships with most of their customers. This is why they want to get rid of dual comp.

"beefing up the BAT team and depending on Alliance Channel solution providers"

What is the BAT team?

I am really sorry to hear this. I hope it all works out for you. Don’t be afraid to ask your boss about available jobs in other areas. If you can move, there might be a small $5k relocation stipend to get a job here in another city. If you can’t move, which is totally understandable, ask your leadership if they can help refer you to any other team or department that’s hiring. I’m really sorry, the very best of luck to you.

I’m so sorry to hear this….. But can someone explain what these roles are to us that are not familiar to your organization? And not just titles, please. Can you explain what you do?

Two of my friends in midmarket just got their letters. AT&T is trying to eliminate dual comp and there are a ton more layoffs coming. They are beefing up the BAT team and depending on Alliance Channel solution providers to fill that gap. It's an outsourcing of sorts. Expect it to get a lot worse all the way through first quarter of 2023.

All out of region mid market sales teams got thrown out today. Yet another classless move by a cold, heartless company. It didn’t matter where the manager or salesperson were ranked for the year. They were just dismissed…a week before Thanksgiving.

Sorry to hear about layoff💯 Especially for those with less than 20 years. If you have over 30 years…I don’t get it, you’d rather be pushed out.

Is it all ASM’s or ASM’s that were on performance management? Or was it every ASM leaving just RSM’s to run the stores?

All i have seen is that its ASM in COR getting cut! Havent seen anything about employees “Union” getn cut. They cut head count last month in most stores

"Are the COR jobs union jobs?" Reps at the stores are union. Management in COR are not union.

Very sorry to hear you were caught up in this latest surplus. Best wishes and hopes that new opportunities quickly present themselves to you and this comes to be remembered as one of the most fortunate events in your life!

There’re a lot of good things going on out there. Godspeed the next great opportunity to you!

Are the COR jobs union jobs? If so, is there nothing in the agreement that protects you? I often see posts on this board about how the represented employee is somewhat protected. I understand there are different contracts, curious to know about the COR folks and others that were hit today. Because there are so few comments on the subject there must not be many folks from COR on this board or the surplus was small

Many more terminations are coming. This was just the first wave. A large number who didn’t get cut this time are being put on performance plans with expectations they will be “performance managed” out of the business on 1Q 2023.
