Most likely because she’s another long time manager that historically led tech teams that are now perceived as antiquated. Old timers in tech are being forced out so that new external hires can be brought in.
Usually these are about some regulatory issue that no one can talk about (CSI).
Cloud migration was not happening soon enough under her area...
For those of you that know how to look at these things, it does have the look that she was fired.
Please reframe from bashing people and guessing about their value. This site is great but labeling people as tokens of is hirer, is FLAT OUT WRONG AND HURTFUL.
Since we do not have or own any companies, we are all tokens of hirer trying to survive.

The way SVB handles layoffs is completely unacceptable. And I am tired of the fake accountant and his thank you, thank you, thank you for your question, thank you. He is incompetent and needs to get laid off himself. He is an arrogant S-B and needs to go.

@1frf. Not unique. We had a leader in tech who came from a smaller company and was way over her head too. Spent most of the time remote and traveling because she lived in a different city than the office. What happened? She ended up getting promoted and eventually left. Probably before getting fired.
I met her. My impression - which may be totally wrong - was that she was way out of her depth. At the time her career was skyrocketing, but I always felt that it wasn't for job competency. I think it was more for DE&I purposes.
Kinda hate to say that, but I think that's true. Does that make me a bad person for thinking that? Or am I just observant? Interested in what others think who actually knew her. There's more to the story.
Saul's email looked like it took him 1 minute to write. She seemed to be a favorite of his always called on to solve some problem. Maybe she resigned and Saul said get out now.
