Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AT&T prefers Amdocs employees than their own existing employees

The company has been throwing this propaganda "employees before contractors" recently to boost morale. Leadership circumvented this by hiring contractors as permanent employees and offered them the higher titles. Existing employees have been trying to get in progression and been told many excuses. Amdocs contractors got the better deal than existing employees with more years of experience. I'm done, I'm not even in the competition anymore so I'm out.

Amdocs is the issue - not their employees. Amdocs under quotes a project, then profits from change requests. Which then uses up all the funds for the other teams. Contractors and Contractor companies thrive on chaos in IT. Vendor management is hard and IT does it poorly.

I know many who are contractors and trust me, they're treated worse than the employees.

No matter who they contract for, Contractors have it way better than actual T employees. T treats their employees like sh-t.

Most of Amdocs folks are not up to mark but have great sense of entitlement

A bunch of those Amdocs folks used to be T folks in the early days of Telegence. Even tho Amdocs created it, T provided app support, and changes. Then in their bright mind they farmed them all out to Amdocs.

Amdocs does have world class programmers. They hire from all over the world to get top notch employees. Why anyone would go from Amdocs to T is beyond me. At Amdocs they are treated like royalty, here they'll be treating like nobodies.
