Updated VRIP Offer for Craft in the pipeline…

As with original VRIP, it’ll be an offer that can’t be refused.

DREAM ON, you wishful thinker, you! Where on earth do you come up with this nonsense? It's just not in the works and not gonna happen! Quit spewing rumors!

it would seem that an enhanced offer on top of VTP is in the works. Quick, clean and off payroll. Logical.

One big reason not talked about here why the company will likely offer T workers the VTP 12/15/22 and/or 3/15/23 is for a strategic and quick change with its employee diversity numbers using caps so that specific numbers of people will leave the payroll of each org 30 days later. These targeted people are the highest seniority workers whom, because of long past hiring practices, are mostly white folks. There are reasons discussed here on why the company will not logically offer VTP however this and another important point to debunk those arguments is that once employees are "off the payroll" 30 days later, they are off that org's budget. The termination pay, up to two years, comes from another bucket of money, not the org's money. The org literally only cares about the org's costs so this builds in an incentive for an org to use VTP as a tool to shed older higher cost workers. As more work continues to become automated and/or moved to lower cost workers, either from T to Orange, or to vendors and partners on or off shore, old T workers should prepare to soon receive a VTP offer. And this cannot come soon enough for many of us.

I'd be all too happy to accept a layoff at this point in the company's constant turmoil and never look back, but the fact of the matter is, an offer is not coming nor is a forced reduction in craft! You might be here making up stories about VRIPs, VTP or whatever you want to call it, but it's not coming, PERIOD!!!

You can’t refuse it because it’s called a layoff. LOL

If you just waiting around , waiting for an offer, then you be fool. Just go on and move on. Not worth waiting for no stinking offer.

The company and other craft think that ‘old timers’ will run out of here due to the drop in the lump. There are a lot of other things to consider when leaving the work force, it’s not exactly a great economy out there right now.

Incorrect. Com Techs received an enhanced offer in 1989.

VRIP for Legacy T back in 1998-99 was for management only. Craft has never received an enhanced offer, only severance paid out according to the contract but you can always dream

I can believe it. With the hit to the lump sum, old timers won’t leave without an significant enhanced offer. This would be a great way to solve that problem.
