Are we next?

Are layoffs coming here after they're done with Bangalore?

I wouldn't be surprised if they move more jobs to romania.

We have people in our company checking to make sure the processes are correct. They just got done measuring all the equipment. Length, width, and height. What type of water needed and what voltage the machine needed. They also want to know what type of plug it used. Example two prong, three prong, or is it 240 prong.

So long Minneapolis, Minnesota, it was nice working for you. The SS Titanic is going down.

SS stands for sinking ship and I'm on it. Not for long ago. This captain's not going down with the ship. I got a couple of interviews. I'm getting a heck out of this company. The handwriting's on the wall. The rats are moving towards the bow of the ship. That's a good sign to get off the ship.

HBS - US - My manager said that upper leadership has said no layoffs at least for HBS US in Q4, and the furlough would be the only cost cutting measure they're taking.

Do I believe it? No, but my manager's been truthful to our team over the past few years and no bullsh-t kinda guy.

Did you receive your turkey box yet? They'll take the turkey and bring it home for their family. Then you'll get the turkey box and clean out your office. This will all take place before Thanksgiving. Have a nice day!

Honeywell has no leadership vision so they follow whatever trend the consultants are selling …usually five to ten years late. Examples :.. open office plans, agile, offshoring when everyone else had already learned it was a failure, lately it is manufacturing partnering versus vertically integrating.
Given the news of exponential rise in tech layoffs.. expect the same regardless of business condition or amount of work. Must keep our nose pinned to the bu-t of the Wall Street crowd.

Remember “east for east”?
Time for continents to sell to their own markets. The US is turning inward and those outsourced jobs will return mostly to Mexico and South America at the expense of Asia.
The soft skills in Bangalore will hang on for decades but eventually… especially when defense products will dominate aerospace for the next ten years as countries retool their military strategy for a world where the US is no longer the world’s policeman.
