Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

VOE Season!

Tis the season for voice of the employee. We value your opinion so please enter your thoughts - HA! What a joke! You best be on guard they know who you are, even feeble mgmt said so in their fear-mongering meeting(s). Think your comments go to the top? Meh, maybe so, but really who gives af anymore - fit the narrative, check the box.

The light at the end of the tunnel is just a the HW freight train coming your way.
Run.

Now I know why HON is pushing the VOE so hard. Just saw today that our Insurance is going up due to inflation and our wages are going down due to inflation. A worker just can't win with this company. Neither do our customers. My VOE is going to be worse than I originally intended.

Lots of 1s and 2s in my survey. I did get a laugh at: I would recommend people to work for Honeywell. Sure, only people I don't like. I steer everyone away from HON. To be fair, it's not hard to do - I just tell them about the RIFs, the offshoring, the furloughs, the total ineptitude of leadership from mad dog on down and that's enough for them.

Where possible, I always commented that my direct manager was great (truth), but various leadership and sourcing actions were terrible.

You CAN put comments in .. just remember that the only thing a manager controls is themselves so any useful comment will be personal criticism. Money? They can’t change pay, promotion nope, schedules and shifts ? Driven by census and deliveries not in their control.

You can always put general comments in your feedback. Depending on your manager you should provide as open a feedback as possible.

I was part of a leadership team addressing these surveys and feedback. Almost everyone the response was well...." we can' take any action with that" Or, lets give them ice cream and cookies. Once in a while they would approve cheap t-shirts. That's really the extent of it all. Read the survey, do a bunch of analytics and do nothing.

A Complete Waste of Time

The whole point of the survey was to slow attrition.. with sales crashing for every product that doesn’t ki-l people …
Why even bother fill it out. Pointless

The overriding message is that nothing has changed. The systemic overdriving of revcog labor quarter after quarter has resulted in a company on autopilot with no connection to leadership. Budgets busted, workers burned out, and nothing to show for it but a stock price that is underperforming peers.

My understanding is that this VOE is only an evaluation of the items identified in the spring VOE that Honeywell decided to address. Those items were all low impact and minimum cost to address. For instance, one of which was Honeywell openness, which we have just recently seen has not been changed at all. Another was barriers to execution? They are all still present. So if you are looking to be put on a PIP and potentially fired, go to town and have fun with this VOE. That's my plan!
