IGS townhall.

KF said we are not responsible for the layoffs. No sir you are 100% responsible for putting all your eggs in 1 basket.

This is all so disappointing, but true… somehow I manage to keep my job, and help the department / company continue running during a PANDEMIC and the 2018 furloughs / cuts, but am first to go when RIFFs come around after the AMZ news… also feels just great being completely blindsided and told your 5+ years career (promoted every year, up to 1st line sup) is over, by a manager and an HRG that have both been with the company / industry for all of about 4 MONTHS (and who I’m sure have larger salaries than those that were let go). This is just outrageous to me, can’t believe they continue to get away with this type of corporate behavior, let alone look themselves in the mirror each day knowing they have devastated families just so they could still get their bonus… It’s unfathomable imo that these so called leaders think they can successfully run a company without any sort of employee retention or values on committed loyal employees. Personally, just have to say good riddance I suppose

Honeywell doesn't have leaders with vision and and the ability to develop and execute a long term strategic plan because they have been trained to believe the current quarter is the most important one in the company's history. It's all about feeding short term revenue, profit and cash to Wall Street so that they can get their annual bonuses. I watched it play out for 25 years and while Hon has been lucky during most of that time, the rubber is about to hit the road again. Treating suppliers like trash, not getting parts, no long term growth or engineering investment (the nebulous "software" company direction is lost without a compass), pushing out experienced and knowledgable employees under the guise of "cost cutting efficiencies," doesn't work anymore. Hon is teetering on the edge of SEC and FAA violations (have been for years and have fallen off in a few caught cases). Former Aero "leaders" are taking their old soft shoe to other SBGs and wreaking havoc there. Glad to have finally bailed from this Titanic of a company.

For years I have asked: "What is Honeywell/Intelligrated going to do when the AMZN business dries up?"
Well, we are seeing it now earlier than expected and it is obvious that they had no plan and are now panicking. These guys are supposed to be business leaders and are expected to understand basic business cycles. This company has become a joke.
