How many ethics complaints have to come in on Rutherford before someone finally does something? Slamming, Targeting people, Wreaking havoc for years. Florida hasn’t been the same since. Thought JVB would do something but she hasn’t been much better. Disappointed.

AT&T is not a 150 year old company. SBC bought a bankrupt AT&T and took on its name.

The talent left years ago. The majority of employees still around are those with no other options who are going to stay until the end or asked to leave. I know. I am one of them.

You've got to love it, these two hayseeds destroy a once sound financially healthy company that has existed for 150 years. They did this in a span of 10 short years, and got extremely wealthy in the process! Worst two CEO's in corporate history. Yet they stay employed by T?

These layoffs have been consistent for years, however the recent frequency, depth and volume is unprecedented. Unfortunately many good people in these orgs and many others. This sets the cornerstone on the future of the company. Everyone knows ( the street, investors and employees) you simply cannot cut your way to profitability, so what does this really mean? It’s really quite transparent, this buys the company some time ( albeit not long) to lay the path for a potential break up. Most likely retaining a mobility core that will be a skeleton of what it looks like today and shedding other elements. It’s very difficult to divest landline from a regulatory perspective but it’s been done by others and can / will be done here. “ Strategic services” are simply not strategic and don’t deliver either profitability or credibility to the company based on our inability to execute ( delivery and billing). T has been building a cheap external sales , operation and engineering channels for years in preparation. Good leaders will lead through adversity with light at the end of the tunnel, that doesn’t exist, which is why you see some of the brightest leaders leaving unexpectedly. The company is eroding, and the stock price tells the macro story. Plan your next step and you’ll be in the best position for you and your family.
