Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Failing up

Is it just me, or is Honeyhell the only place where people keep failing up? Several times I've watched as guys who messed up in a major way not only did not face any consequences, but soon they ended up promoted. It's demoralizing and infuriating to see this happen while good employees who do excellent work are constantly ignored. Name one other company where that would be tolerated?

Some of you seem to be a racist bunch. Indians running the show? Ha! Far from it. This has nothing to do with ethnicity or background.
Honeywell is corrupt all through out the executive level. Egos are the name of the game. Telling people not to tell the customer that we just had layoffs and will be having furloughs and to still deliver on time is a joke.

It’s all diversity…. Or is it really? It’s not diversity if they all are the same origin

sounds about right - I feel your pain. it’s amazing, how over the years, we stand idly by and witness such a spectacle, almost promoting it by remaining silent to truly what is ‘right’ for fear of rocking the boat or retaliation. because lets face it, retaliation is quite real, that’s if you haven’t been riffed or forced out. the zero tolerance flag waves, the diversity flag waves, the inclusion flag waves but be damned if you’re any one of those - don’t look to hr or senior management to help…you’re on your own. doesn’t matter the dedication, the 2’s on your yearly, the cross functionality you’ve mastered always putting the company first - does. not. matter. keep promoting the inept, the poster children of how NOT to follow the 9 behaviors - those are your meal tickets, right? riiiight. keep it moving. smile & wave, kids…and get the eff out as fast as you can.

High attrition of talent and the insane laying off of unreplaceable employees is a major contribution to inepts gaining positions beyond their capabilities. Let's not forget also that Honeyhell's reputation has been destroyed and the quality of recent candidates has plummeted, if you are sh1t at your job you can earn a good salary and elevation here by just sticking to the corporate line even if you f@#k up everything you touch. It is an embarrassment working here, I only do so to temporarily cover until my better half gets her new job then I am gone! No joke, I have high post grad degrees and have many papers in my field, my manager has a joke degree and ZERO knowledge of the industry, he clumsily bumbles through every meeting and expects us to carry him. His manager does not even give a damn, to focused on his own end game. This place is a farce.

It's tolerated everywhere at every level in the corporate world. Actually encouraged at many places. Get the incompetents positioned where they can do the least damage. The Dilbert Principle.

Dont worry , failing up is now reserved for diversity candidates.
Your non diversity colleagues are just as SOL as you.

Where I use to work (retired) our most incompetent co-worker slept her way up. Also used the classic kiss-up, kick-down plan. Everyone saw right through her. She got promoted first. The more a company talks about "Integrity and values", the more likely the reality is anything but.
