Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Geography. Performance. Tenure.

When you ask how you were “chosen” this is the only answer you will get. made that f-c-er squirm and asked when I could see how I ranked to be chosen. No answer. Asked who made the decision - told they’d get back to me. Good luck everyone. The ship is going down! I see several age discrimination lawsuits on the horizon!

For 5+ years, severance is 2 was per year of service up to 26 weeks severance.

Spot on down there in the replies .. been here close to 5 years and got the walking Papera even though I rank better then 4/5 reps in my so called geography who have all been here 10 plus years that would have been 26 weeks for them

I'm close enough to retirement, I don't want to start over with vacation, 401k, etc.

Why hold on for severance? It seems severance in the U.S. sucks. I an holding out for severance in Canada but I will likely get 3 to 4 weeks for every year of service. With 30 plus years it is substantial.

I'm way older and WANT a severance. I did not get it. I will now be stuck with a ridiculous, giant, unmanageable territory. I'm also a very high energy, over achiever, and I've worked here a long time. I do a great job, hit my numbers, etc. In my opinion they do want me out due to my salary, and what it would cost to give me a severance their angle is to absolutely over load me, and try to ki-l me to get me to quit. What they did not count on is IDGAF if I make my number going forward. So honestly what will probably actually happen is I will start to get written up, then fired because these ba----ds refuse to severance out the people that have worked here for years.

I'd love to see a list of all the people let go with severance. I'll bet there's zero to a small number that have been here over 5 years. They plucked off most people that would cost the least. Then their goal is to work the remaining long term employees into the ground so they'll quit.

I ain't quitting sh-t, write me up, try to drive me out, bi----s I'm tougher than you. It's severance or I'm not going quietly!

Nice job! Keep at em, you are spot on! The EEOC is a great resource, and its essentially free. Once they give you a "right to sue" letter, go get em! They settle. but make em pay. You have all the numbers so if it's performance, they can prove it!
This can be a long process, but worth it in the end! Don't sign that short sided severance, it's their way to keep people from coming back after them. If you can get more onboard, class actions are the way to go...big money. Good luck
