Came in today to notice that me and 8 other people on my team were being let go due to "organization shifts".. What now? I saw someone recommending to re-apply for my job? Should I just take the cr---y severance package and not fight it? I never thought this day would come so I am not prepared... Ugh

The entire ecosystem at TMUS is toxic. How can anyone work in this environment after the bloodletting? Just a travesty, what has gone down here.
Personally wouldn't want to work for a company like this. you'll be on the chopping block again and they will have lower pay on your next job anyways. tmobile doesn't deserve your nor anyone else's talent. they are proving that themselves by laying off the most talented.
Yes, telecommuters are an endangered species at TMUS. Better know if you telecommute, you've got a target on your back.
We're you a full time telecommuter?
I searched on T-Nation for “severance” and nothing comes up.
If you take a different role within tmobile you'll have to pay back a portion of severance. It's prorated based on how long after Nov 7th you start. It's in the packets faq.
You have two options. Look through the open job reqs and see if there is something that might work for you and apply get an offer within 60 days, or take the severance. If you go for the former and get reallocated to a ne role, that should also come with a sign on bonus, speak to HR rep on that.
Hang on, I need to take a deep breath. I hate my life.
There is a standard formula for severance. If you're with T-Mobile go to to T-nation and you can find out how it's constructed.
And what was severance like?
Which market / location ?
I am so sorry. How many years? What group were you in?
