Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

They only care that the numbers are met at all cost

To all the newbies please know your mental and physical health will deteriorate over time handling claims. Know they only care that the numbers are met at all cost. Mgmt does not care about your mental or physical health. Being mentally tired over time will affect your physical health over time. You are not allowed to blow off steam because you will be targeted by mgmt even though it is a healthy thing to do. They say "open door policy" but remember you are on record and it will be used against you. If they allowed open and free communication without retaliation, they may find less turnover, increase production, and create a more cohesive work environment.

@1oeb+1inPu4ym said it perfectly.

If you are there for 5 years look around. See the turnover and see how many get buried before they retire. That'll put icing on your cake.

@4ezk. You bring up the root of the problem at SF. It is not sustainable.

Stick the “leaders” in real
Positions and non management or analyst tasks. See if they can actually work and not rely on PowerBI, reports and systematic/procedural cr-p. Doubt any will excel at much at all
Besides BSing….and using people for undeserved bonuses and raises .

Weird org.

@2kzr-one of the worst sports analogies in history. You obviously know little about steroids and even less about NFL. Follows a pattern.,

People I'm claims have no idea what they are doing to their body. The stress associated with pushing the metrics, management pushing unattainable goals, and expecting workers to be able to drive outside of their headlights affects either a workers mental or physical well-being. It may not happen in the short run however in the long run the workers body will pay a devastating price. It's like a sports person who does steroids. The steroids will always win. You may not see it in the beginning of the game, but near the end or at the end of the game you will shut down. Think of how many players in the NFL have lasted over 30 years. Not many. Know your odds. They are never up front nor will they ever be up front with the numbers.
