I’m pulling off more than 150K and I’ve been stuck in this quiet firing whirlpool for so long now. I’ll be lucky if I can even get an hours worth of work a week. Thinking about it, if mgmt transferred me to mortgage, I’d probably be celebrating my golden severance by now. Lol

Come to Conduct mgmt. 5-10 hr/ week for $150k for a whooping $300/hr rate.

I want to know where these jobs are that you work very few hours and make $150k. I also make $150k, but work about 60 hours and am constantly asked to do more. Whoever is determining staffing levels has no clue what they are doing.

There was an earlier string (which is now gone for some reason) where the original question came from the perspective of personal investments in and at WFC.

Some visitors to this site are investors or simply employees looking at things through the shareholder lens instead of the worker-bee lens. And indeed, we've been waiting to see if Chuck is actually going to fire up the chainsaw in a meaningful way and actually fulfill the promise of cost reduction and discipline. Or keep chipping away with his pocket kn--e. It is interesting to read about overworked employees or gripes about lengthy or no forthcoming backfills when WFC trails its peers in key cost metrics.

Given his performance thus far, I think any old-skool value investor diving into the four Ms of a company would have to bail if any of this executive Management team was running that entity in the future. $4!+ or get off the pot - what on earth are they waiting for? Maybe the Fed and its increased tightening will bail Chainsaw and Co. out, and they can finally implement layoffs and other cost measures when everybody else is forced to do the same.

Agree. I do like 10 hours of work a week and get paid $150k. It's hilarious. Riding this gravy train until it derails.

Wait…you mean people are doing the minimum to get by while they wait for the axe to fall? How dare they!
