Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wachovia was not an ideal company to work for, actually, they were horrible! Wachovia failed because of the greed of their executives in trying to push a product to the detriment of their customers instead of providing a sound product for the benefit of the consumer. Of course, the government put their spin on it by allowing loans to people that were not qualified for them. I was not a "World" fan, but the product was sound. I will never be a Wachovia fan. Wells Fargo was the best thing that could happen to Wachovia! I have worked with managers from both organizations, wells is concerned for the customer, Wachovia managers just in themselves, v-e-r-y cliquish about how good they were...

WF is a publicly traded company. We have shareholders we need to manage.I’m sure it’s a real challenge trying to manage shareholders, team members and expectations from clients.Additionally, not to mention, politicians.In my opinion, WF would be an awesome company if it was privately owned.

To the OP, why would people come to a layoff-oriented site to say nice things about their layoff-happy employer?

If you have a problem with the critical comments on this site, you should start your own site called Bootlicker or something to that effect.

A site where you and others can join hands and worship the same people that see you as an ant, and have contempt for you - all the while smiling at you.

Wachovia went into the sh*tter when it merged with WF. I'll never forgive Ken Thompson for being swindled by the Golden West Hebs.

The Sandlers were sc-m bags. They founded some Center for Responsible Lending to pretend to combat predatory loans while they were pumping out ARMs to people who could never afford the adjustments.

Shouldn't be surprised because they were buddies with John Podesta and big supporters of the Center for American Progress.

Working for WF is a choice as well as having anything to do with this site.

I have to admit that I liked the culture at Wells Fargo before the Wachovia merger. unfortunately, much mood dampening occurred with the Wachovia merger and the fake account scandal. We’re all still dusting ourselves off from that drama. having worked there for decades +. there are those of us who will still pick up the ball when we see it about the drop.…
