Dust mostly comes from human sheddings of skin. How are these environments safe to breathe in all day?? They really need to do something about this especially in Central Offices.

Yes, the offices are horrendous. Before I came to work at AT&T, I had a modern, refurbished office with the latest VoIP phones and gear. Came to work the first day, and the cube, which looked like it had been built in the 70's had the same phone system in it that I had just had replaced at my old employer. The place smelled old and nasty. Even the real estate people they have here now won't clean anything. Since we started back in the office, the cube I have been squatting in hasn't had the trash taken out in the last week. Extremely unhealthy!
Yeah when I retired in 1999 I was told we would have to empty our trash mop our switchrooms as cleaning was cut back to Tuesdays and Fridays. OK, we just thru printouts on the floor. The building dept decided to save money by placing recycled phone book toilet paper in the bathrooms and posted a magnetic sign on the stalls stating that we were doing our part for the environment by wiping on sandpaper type TP. The TP was great for wiping hands but not your buttock. We would go to 1BP and steal cases of executive floor TP (Northern) and take back to the C.O. I really believe the object was to force us to use a local business for doing a dump, thus saving SBC on water, soap, TP, Towels, electricity and cleaning. IT DIDN"T WORK!

That's wierd, Whitacre Tower is cleaned daily. You could eat off the restroom floors.
In the office I am assigned, no toilet paper in the men's room, no soap, no paper towels.
Wonder why nobody shakes hands anymore there?
Lots of propaganda paper leaflets left laying around from the Stink to use as TP tough! Not that the majority of the H1B employees know how to use TP!

management (salary) employees were told to empty their trash cans in their idle time. Too bad there is no craft (skilled labor) union to protect them. Started in 2011.
When we only get janitorial service once a month it’s no wonder AT&T’s buildings are filthy. The sewer backs up around the front door of one of our COs. It’s been reported for years……that’s right….YEARS! They just don’t care.
