Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Find a policy for me please

Is it stated anywhere we cannot as full time have unpaid days off beyond our 2 regular days off?

Funny I got like 15 days already approved like that, but now anymore are being rejected...

Yet we got told last week we can't anymore yet no one can find that policy...

I dont get why you would be full time and then want unpaid time off... I've been with the company for 30+ years, as a manager, team leader, and back to an hourly. And never once known of full timer wanting unpaid time off...

Some long term associates are grandfathered in at 28 hours for full time. No unpaid time off, that is why you earn pto.

I just had a random conversation with a manager the other day in which they stated that the company no longer allows managers to approve unpaid time off. But the manager says there is a work around that goes like this. Put in for paid time off. After it is approved then you can go in and cancel it but the system will not then schedule you for that time. The result is that you are scheduled off without pay for that time. I have not tried this but like I said a manager told me that the other day.

If your average hours in a twelve week period is less than 34 hours, than, yes they can bump you to part-time.

It's the part-time/full time exception report.

So if you are taking unpaid time off it will lower your your average hrs per week.

The only time they won't move u to part time is if you are on an LOA.

So if you are going to take time off as unpaid it's totally up to you, but it may affect your status.

They cannot stop you from taking time off if you are full time as unpaid.

Just know it may affect your average.

I hope this helps...
