Pay cut

I hear that some were offered significant pay cuts, huge annual decreases.
Has anyone accepted a pay cut? I doubt that many people accepted to continue working under such conditions. I would never accept that, unless I was in a desperate situation. Life is much better on the outside.

That's why you don't consider potential bonus payout as your salary. Bonuses aren't guaranteed income. A bonus is a one-time payout on a separate check as supplemental income and taxed at a straight 22% rate.

“They told me that if I didn't take the pay cut that I would be quitting and they would contest unemployment.”

This is criminal. Record any conversations about pay if you can. Take em through the ringer.

Everyone took the pay cut.

In my position, they "restructure" they gave us $1.00 more an hour but cut my annual bonus pay by $6000 they don't even fess up to the pay cut they claim I actually got a raise because of the hourly raise, they don't fact the significant loss from the pay slash. Because I wasn't being "laid off" I had no option. They told me that if I didn't take the pay cut t hat I would be quitting and they would contest unemployment.

I know maybe 3 people out of 38 in my community who quit. I can't speak for other communities though.
