Our dividend yield is close to the 7% mark. That's what Frontier was paying right before they suspended all dividends. They were bankrupt within a year.

"Who holds this garbage?"
All of the biggest funds, including vanguard and Fidelity. Yes it's in your 401k under total us stock index.
As long as you don't own the individual stock in your 401k you should be ok!
AT&T will be raising it's dividend before the end of the year. Trust me. Taking the first step to dividend aristocat.
Large dividend cut might be in the planning stage.
- If the dividend is slashed, the stock price will surely tank even more.
- Then a huge corporate stock buyback takes place at even lower slashed stock price.
- That action wipes out even more dividend dollars that get paid to stock holders.
- The only people that are impacted are the (fill in the blank)'s that still hold stock.
I hope Stank doesn't read this, I meant it to be sarcasm but he might do it.
Dividend, schmividend, who actually GAF about that at this point?
Who holds this garbage?
Does T corporate even know that Financial Engines, the company that they contract with to offer advice to T employees advises dumping that sh--e as soon as it hits your account?
Good old "dividend cut" when running low on things to complain about.
We got away with cutting the dividend once and even with that Stankey got listed on the wall of shame. If we cut the dividend again AT&T would be a penny stock. That will not happen period! The only choice is cutting costs or growing revenue and we all know growing revenue is highly unlikely. We recently were able to take customers from Verizon but hurt our cash flow in the process. There's no growth to be had especially as the economy falters.
The dividend is safe!
stock manipulator.
Cut the fat. Don't cut the dividend.
OUCH! That's gonna leave a mark. Go gitem Pascal.
Ha, a clueless wanna be stock analyst with more mouth than brains.
