Hi Ya'll, I'm a band 3 engineer making $130K. I've been at Honeywell under 6 years, I'm under 30. Is it even worth it to move into a manager or band 4 engineering role? How much more does the pay go up, is it worth the stress? I want to have a family, spend time with them, and retire early.
My first two years at Honeywell I was treated like cr-p, I negotiated HARD given how difficult it is for managers to find good engineers. I got my salary up high, but how far ahead of the curve am I?
Can you help me fill-out the below, and then can you tell me if you think progressing further is even worth it?
E1: 70k
E2: 85k
E3: 100k
Sr: $130k
Lead: ??? + MIP of ?
Principal: ??? + MIP of ?
Fellow: ??? (I'm guessing something like a $225k) + MIP of ?
Thanks!
