Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

4 Stars

Honeywell hit 4 stars on Glassdoor... corporate HR must be poppin bottles! I suppose when you can't use the Fortune 100 status anymore for marketing, you need to pump up those positive reviews.

I’ve never had one of my negative reviews posted on there…and I refrained from cussing. They just eliminate the bad reviews. Honeywell just need to keep paying Glassdoor to filter.

Honeywell has been paying temps for the past 2 years to post positive reviews on GD to get the rating up. Not many know this. Just waiting for that group to start posting positive comments on this site.

Have you ever spoken to anyone in Honeyhell who enjoyed his job after 1 year? I haven’t. Happy that I left that company. Best choice in my life: I am working in a company where we invest In product development and where you get compensated for good performance. Not all about creating shareholder value.

The business model of Glassdoor is based on selling premium packages to employers. The company makes money through job postings, employers branding, and the advertisement of job listings.
I would imagine that the algorithms used by Glassdoor to determine the “star ratings” are biased in favor of the employers. Those employers are the basis of their revenue stream.

@pin

They don't need "new" or "actual" employees to submit those bogus positive posts. I don't think GD has any way to verify if you are even an employee...

If you pay attention you will notice that any clearly negative review of the company on GD will quickly get pushed down the stack by 3 - 4 new glowing positive reviews, typically within hours. To make this happen you need a coordinated set of individuals who monitor the site on a regular basis. HR folks are often pressured to do these sorts of tasks however it would also be trivial to offshore this work for pennies on the dollar like they are doing with everything else...

Probably because new employees are forced to fill out reviews on GD at time of hire. Too soon IMO to have an accurate opinion of the state of affairs in the company.
