Centene Corporation has built a huge building in Charlotte to relocate their East Coast Headquarters. It's basically across the street from CIC. There was supposed to be 6 buildings with over 3,200 jobs coming to Charlotte. They were getting millions in incentives from the State. They just cancelled the move and will sell the building. Why? Over 90% of their employees were remote and the actually asked them about remote vs in person and made the decision to go remote. Short term losses of incentives and construction expenses but long term they say less attrition since going remote due to the pandemic and keeping their A players around as reasons. They have over 700 employees in Charlotte who now won't be moving to an office. Some companies get it.

We've been told it's going to be 5 days in office required. They even sent out a cringeworthy "welcome back" email.
It's going to be a total flop.
They may close the bank down if they can't originate mortgages anymore.
If the office is not at capacity it maybe a target for closing. That would legitimize the requirement to re-locate to a "HUB" site. Please consider the ramifications. If you re-locate at your expense you may still be released due to non-compliance. THINK.

If true that would be awesome, but somehow I doubt it. CPG has had a stick up their azz about the parking policy since 2015 when it was enacted and some of those people have made it their mission in life to sc--w fellow employees on the matter. I doubt they'll be able to give that up. They are to invested at this point.

They will be reimbursing parking and introducing a gas stipend in major hubs soon. That should help a lot.
Looking around at the vast floor (with about 4 people tops here currently) I can see why the elites want to wipe this group out. Insert vomit emoji here.
If they were to attempt to increase the RTO requirements (and continue to drive "the wrong" attrition, as the people they want to retain keep leaving and the people they want to quit stick around), I think they would give a month's notice. That was their head's up "commitment" for the initial RTO and all of the subsequent new dates announced. It is absolute bullsh-t for them to give less notice as though people can secure new arrangements for childcare, pick-ups and drop-offs, etc. in a snap. Childless people with pets may need to make different arrangements as well. Childless people with elder care situations, long commutes, and so on also need more time to plan.
With all that said, it wouldn't surprise me at this company if an increase in RTO requirements was quietly announced via a Friday 3:00 pm e-mail, to be effective the following Monday.
As a VP, I have not heard this rumor.
Has anyone else noticed the filthiest of people enjoy being in the office? Eating and talking all day long? Why the f*ck do we need to be distracted with this? It’s always the ones with zero sense of health whatsoever that demand to be here. I noticed this pattern immediately in March. Cue the climate lockdown/alien invasion lockdowns already so I can go back home. BA-F!

No chance. Attrition is already sky high. If this policy was put in place they may as well just throw in the towel because they are having a hard enough time recruiting talent as is.
Haven’t heard that but would find it hard to believe given my office seems to be at maybe 30% capacity at most during the middle of the week and more like 10-15% on Monday and Friday.
