Mid-Market layoffs are coming to Account Managers next week. It is going to be bigger than Global/Public that was announced the last 2 weeks. Acquisition and Develop & Retain will be sliced in 1/2. Only 2 week notices to find a new role during a freeze. Time to take our severance and run.

East Coast Fiber team had major layoffs today.
Well I heard jvb’s fiber team in the northeast had major layoff notices today.
Not buying this for a minute. JVB is like a protected ecosystem within at&t. No way they (at&t) would ever eat their own. If you are in sales, part of JVB, please don't sweat it, you are in fact safe.
It happened 2 years ago in mid markets
They've been saying this rumor. It never happens in Mid markets for any position.
JVB is the Justified Value Business. Basically the org that supports COR stores in minority areas to make sure we're serving all communities.
If you don’t know who JVB is. Then it doesn’t apply to you, move on.

While I believe it, this is insane. They were still in the stage of building up the modules, even as recently as 2 days ago. I hope it is done fairly and that everyone who wants to keep a job can do so.
JVB meeting today was the beginning announcement roll out. That is why a few months ago they changed up 4 AVP’s and Donan bounced.
If anyone believes businesses buy on the internet, go pull up the sales jobs on Indeed. Go ask companies where they buy their products….from sales people. Small companies may buy on the internet but Govt, middle to big companies buy from sales folks.
This is interesting this info is coming out today. I heard the level 3/4s had a big meeting today w JVB. I wonder if it was for this reason. I also wonder if this will affect the mid markets that handles BAT and BiR as well. AT&T just spent 2 years building out these teams, along with mobility overlays. They just finally staffed all of these teams and gave them additional accounts multiple times this year. If this is true, this company makes no sense at all.
Sales is a archaic job. People these days shop on the internet.

—-you better believe it.. Global business and public sector got hacked big-time this past Friday and Monday. I never seen so many SALs, TSC’s or SSEs as they’re called now get slashed. AMs are now left supporting the accounts themselves. Oh by the way I forgot to mention bye bye salary now your hourly
It must be a young set of employees in that group if they are not waiting on the rate impact on pensions to see who leaves

Kind of hard to find a new job with a hiring freeze in effect for 3 months running. Basically collect severance and look for another job if you are chosen.
No sales folks to acquire new revenue. It makes perfectly good sense.
