Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Amazon

So Honeywell purchased my company because we won a design for all of the Amazon locations. Made a ton of money, treated us like dirt and now laying off everyone. Good to see they are a caring company.

Intelligrated prior to Honeywell met their commitments. The big issue that I saw was a certain Honeywell exec blowing smoke and making promises that were impossible to meet. John Boy is now gone, but the damage remains.

Okay, key customers cut the Honeywell Intelligrated contract entirely for bad performance and terrible business practices. This was an issue well before Honeywell acquired them, just that honeywell didn't do wonders for intelligrated either. I think Dematic will be on the way out soon judging by their terrible install quality as well. They can't put anything in the write spot, and they charge their customers for their mistakes. Sadly, MHE system companies all have this bad habit.

Minneapolis Minnesota would be a good place for an Amazon data center or warehouse. I can move immediately for long as I get a severance package. If I don’t get a severance package I can leave to. Let’s get the ball rolling.

To Honeywell an engineer is an engineer no matter what his or her experience level is. The cheaper the better.

I was also with a company that was acquired, run into the ground, and then divested. The funny part is they are trying exactly the same thing with a new acquisition, though this time in India. Yeah, that’s gonna work great.

@gbs you mention 'fire the unnecessary people'......Honeywell are pretty spectacular at getting rid of the necessary people too. A recent 'new' leader asked us why we had no one on the team who was a specialist in on of our fields......oh because you layed off the guy with 20 years experience and super well respected in the industry...well done buddy! Irony is that the said person went to a competitor and has never been happier, cursing why he had not left earlier!!

Indeed you just described the Honeywell business model: Acquire a company, integrate into a gbe, fire unnecessary staff, ki-l innovation, sell legacy products against high margins as long as possible, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze…

Design for Amazon warehouses or data centers? Which acquired company is this about?

Sorry to hear you have been laid off.

Sadly, this would be considered the norm for Honeywell. Buy a highly functional company and ruin it with ineptitude from leadership.

You just described honeywell's business model.
Love it when I hear how ethical this company is from directors and higher.

You know, those on a contract....
