We will be using Platform-X to read
Replaced by BMC Software as soon as KKR takeover completed
This half year appraisal has something unique which has not been done yet in the industry. We will be using Platform-X to read through the unstructured data with AI and come up with ratings and normalized ratings. It will also produce salary rise recommendations for review by the line manager.
I find it interesting that the Mid Year Discussion topic has only been posted on Workplace, rather than via email or from people managers.
So marcomm types can say they've told everyone but safe in the knowledge vast majority of staff are ignorant of the fact this nonsense is carrying on.
I've worked for a few companies in the past few years, but their appraisals are much quicker, simple things without the tonnage of paperwork and comms that DXC used to push. The appraisals are quick discussions with your manager who has had 1-2-1's with you each week anyway, know technically what you do, know what the right training or experience you need but also sees the opportunities to harvest the skills you have and how to employ them to the firm's advantage. But, as everyone has credits on the value plan (for experience, time served and other good deeds) it mean you get a share of the share price payouts - a kind of annual bonus - in addition to an annual rise (or cost of living rise, as they described it this year). But without any reward mechanism in DXC (I mean any), then what's the point? What is the point of someone who doesn't know you filling out lots of paper? Isn't that a big cost to the business (sorry, hidden in the customer budget)?
I met my goals ? come to work
each day and that is enough of a goal for this sh-t home of a company
What WFR benefits? A measly 8 weeks of severance for 25 years of service. They went to town on taxing that small amount also!
No out outside of HR is going to engage with the mid year or end of year review process ever again. No self respecting people manager is going to ask their staff as they know it's pointless and no member of staff are going to waste their time on it.
Just ditch the whole process and save some of that $500 million
I copied and pasted the same goals for about 7 years in a row going back to the CSC days. Lol what a waste of time even that was. Get out.
Well I am not try to make goals this year, I don't give a rats a$$
If you do not meet your goals, you not only get a zero, but made redundant on performance grounds, which means you do not get any WFR benefits. So, basically, it is a no-win scenario. If you meet or exceed you get nothing, if you don't you stand to lose the job.
