Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T has officially become the new Sears and Kmart in its industry. TMobile is Amazon and VZ is WalMart. A lot of changes ahead for employees but

None will keep the titanic from its ultimate demise.
The ho-e is too deep and the leadership is too weak.

The people that bring up Enron are the old dinosaurs that refuse to move forward with technology. They spend more time complaining about how things used to be than doing anything to improve themselves.

T missed it big time with their media purchases. Now we are behind trying to catch up with more debt, more outstanding shares and a strategy from 10 years ago. Thanks Randy and Johnny.
And does anyone besides me notice that our VPs and higher don’t exactly get scooped up when they leave T. That says it all.

Copper is dead..why do you think that is the AT&T gold mine? Because that is all you know? The company spends more money maintaining the copper plant than they take in. At some point the blacksmith knew his trade was dead and moved on. Companies do the same

There was a time when every mall in America had a Sears. And every mid-size town had a Kmart. Just like there was a time when every house had AT&T copper phone service.

Plenty of cash to for debt, share buyback, dividends, workers. Life is good. Go AT&T.

Too much debt, too many outstanding shares. Add to that we are purposely shrinking the companies revenue by removing copper services, which I agree with. The issue is at some point, with less revenue, you have to pay down debt AND buy back shares.

Mobility is the engine that pulls AT&T, everything else is dead weight.

Keep trying to compare AT&T with bad companies while we make billions in profits and free cash flow.
