I've heard several people say if you can pass the TKT, the 160A and 160B are a cakewalk.

Once you pass the tkt and accept the job offer then you take the 106a and b. For me it was pass fail. Fail and you go back to your old job . Nothing to really learn. They teach you everything but it’s fast paced. You will be testing on what you can retain. Study groups help a lot .

Yes that's it. They were called Technical Knowledge Tests. Thanks!

Are you sure you are not wanting resources for the TKT2 tests? If so, your union can point you in the right direction. There is or at least used to be a 18 month college program that if completed would exempt one from having to pass the TKT2 test.

I think I would do very well on these tests. Is there anyway I could get copies of each one? It would be more of a brain teaser if nothing else.

The 160A and 160B is a test for System Technicians. In the Mid West region it no longer exists. It is now call Networking Fundamentals.

I was sent to ATT University in Dallas to take the required tests and labs in order to get the System Tech title. That was before COVID c r a p. I'm not sure what they do to get you qualified now.
