Pension Payment Increase?

Given our current high inflation, is there any chance we could see an increase in post-retirement pension payouts for those receiving pension benefits or those who may be eligible for further pension payouts?

No, they are counting on people dying earlier from all the stress. They know that pension paid out for life will not have to be paid out long, the average person retires and kicks the bucket sooner than later, some even while still employed. Why would they increase it? Nah.

Lol you think SF is going to give you more money after you retire?????? LOOOOOOOOOOL by the time I left in my few year stint I was like 11%+ behind ytd hire, to last day inflation. Place is literally a meme ran by evangelicals who love corporate abuse. Probably happens enough in their house it’s normal. Probably why they treat you like family.

Show me a pension that has a COLA and I will show you a drastically underfunded pension. Run it into the ground and let the pension benefit guarantee fund take it over, see how 60 cents on the dollar feels.

Remember the company is only about cost reduction. Employees are costs. Pay is a cost.

Didn't you watch that tone deaf "were running a loss due to inflation and need to reduce costs" video in your huddle last month? No mention of increased wages, another burden to pile on your abused workforce.

Keep in mind the sheer volume of employees they uprooted and moved to a hub over the last 5 years that have seen rents close to double, with no pay consideration.

Nah youll have to beg to get 3% im sure.

The current rate of inflation has not increased the amount of money in the pot.

@enu+1iPLXDT8- Do you realize Florida has a large percentage of the population not actually born there? Why no problem with "some" people "invading" and staying? Can we say "little Havana?" F Desatan.

All those 6 and 7 digit F*krs stole the retirement off the workers. Their money isn't worth cr-p. DeSantis has is right by dropping them all off in your backyard. Like Dylan sang: The times they are a changing. Policies have consequences and they will soon a valuable lesson. Like Hank Jr sang: A country boy can survive. They won't.

Should have gotten rid of the overpaid 6 and 7 digit lazy F*cks who never put in a full day's work and gave it to the one's that broke their back. Their day is coming.

No, shoulda kept up with inflation by finding a new company to retire for before retiring.

Not with the bean counters running the show. I'm sure they would not have a problem with retirees kicking the bucket sooner than later to get those payouts off the books.
