Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Maybe next year will be better, although I doubt it

I was just reading an article about how next year will look much better for ATT than 2022. Can anyone believe that? I can't. I hope that next year I won't even be here.

Dump 40% of employees now. T is way overstaffed, no way they will make it without addressing headcount rationalization.

We need to lay off the underperforming workers. Only way to turn the company around. Too many unproductive workers dragging company down.

based on company financials, they should suspend bonus program for 2 years to help with the debt recovery. this is the only way to help turn this ship around, layoffs are not the answer.

Morale is in the toilet and been flushed and clogged with Po-p! Country is divided, now we are divided face to face giving dirty stares to those wearing masks and determining who voted for who by mask wearing or not! Monkey pox in the office and the Same ole no working stragglers hanging out at ppo’s desk while the hustlers who work are struggling to make sense of it all! Some of the hardest working ppl dont GAF anymore because they see the company doesn’t GAF! Watching the erosion is a travesty!

Yeah, right! The economy is leaning towards a recession if we’re not already in one, people will begin to taper their spending habits, the fuel crunch is hitting all gas powered vehicle owners and T wants everybody back to the office! Makes perfect sense, next year will be better!

Stank just said this week the debt won’t get to a level that 2.5 times earnings until 2025. If we have no more debt things will get better beginning in 2025. Until then, expect more of the same.

Every year they say next year will be better. Can I sell you a bridge?

Better? Not on your life. T is in debt up to their ears! Interest rates going higher every quarter. T has approximately 40K excess employees. T has 1200 digital switches that are boat anchors. Not sure how anyone could say things will be better in 2023!
