As a manager, I’ve given out $32k in connection awards so far this year to my top performers. It’s so nice to surprise your team with money!
Yes, I’ve received one for Q1 and Q2.
In my day we had the "key contributor award" and that was total political. Give it to the executive offspring and best looking young women who wear short skirts.
It would have been nice to get extra cash but I had side business going on. I had instances where I went out of my way and made or saved millions - my boss and higher just commented that "I was just doing my job". That's when I quit trying and "just did MY JOB"! I know one yr the "Kitch" made a comment that we could earn up to $10k on the spot bonus for making/saving $$. I save close to $12M and "Turner" claimed I just did my job. I pursued it and received $1k and he instructed me to not tell anyone as others would go out of their way and attempt to "earn extra money". Unbelievable.
Yes, received 2. An individual $4K award and the entire org got a $1.5K award.
Yes, I have issued out several so far to my top performers and have a few pending release now. Also, the mid year review time is a perfect time to communicate your accomplishments as it gives managers something to work with when submitting CA's. I always make sure I burn my CA budget! That's part of my job as a manager.
Got 4K a couple months ago. Was a nice surprise for some initiative I took taking on some new work responsibilities. Those of you bitter a-holes that act like you wouldn't take the award and the $$ if you were given one probably don't have to worry about ever being in that dilemma. Just guessing.
Ours are being scrutinized even though they are very small amounts - not sure if there is a thought to hold on originally forecasted spend
I make mire than that in OT. And work the same amount of hours.

You may see an increase in these with the EOY approaching and teams scrambling to “spend” the money.

I received a $5K connection award in mid august. Believe me, it was well deserved and well received. Unfortunately, it was absorbed into the woodwork, thank to the inflation rate.
