Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Racist Behavior

Does HR pursue and discipline managers that engage in racist behavior toward minorities, or is it overlooked?

Randall’s direct reports wanted to keep Aaron Slator employed despite his behavior. He was at the company for a year after his racist post. HR did nothing until it was made public. He was making millions after posting the N-word in a text to his friends on a company device.

He’s probably at another company as a senior executive. I wouldn’t be surprised if AT&T is funneling money thru a shell consulting company.

Aaron Slater is probably the best example of the companies two tiered system. Had it not been for protest and the media exposing him, he would still be here today.
The only hope I had for that situation was that his assistant was paid well for that debacle..

Aaron Slator got a big settlement in the millions from the company despite his behavior.

The only racism at ATT is against white men…

Att takes racism very seriously. I have seen may examples. All involved quick thorough investigation. Incidentally there are laws to follow.

Mr Slator's day of posting any celebrator pics on Friday have long since past.
Yet another example AT&T "management". This is what he posted, it cost him his job. He is gone. BYE.

My experience is they act swiftly unless it’s an officer or Stankey Favorite. Chery Choy has obvious dislikes and they do nothing. Aaro Slator was only let go due to protestors surround the building. Good luck.

HR actively promotes racism, so I doubt they will care.

HR is soft on this issue. If you’re a minority you’re on your own!!

It’s mostly overlooked if the person committing it is privileged or a Karen!!

From my experience, it's normally overlooked, unless there are witnesses to the incident.
