From what I am being told and hearing as rumor ATT Business is going to be reorganized by the end of the month with a lot of level 3's affected. That leads me to think that we are going through a round of consolidation with remaining Directors gaining people and/or a wholesale trimming of certain groups due to lack of sales and change in product focus.

from what I heard, too many SCDs and above. Need to reduce this number. Ki----g worker bees off, aside from just the fun of it, turns out to be anti-customer experience.
Stank is yelling he only wants workers who want to stay no longer than 3-5 years. Hates the long term employees with a passion.
Our BU VP says he wants long term employees who will stay and “grow” with the business. Long term.

Even on the highest levels there is a major disconnect.
Not sure a reorg is going to help ATT Business when this group has made poor business decisions in the past. Any agreement that gets inked must require business case/governance review to ensure there is an acceptable ROI. Before any deal moves forward, is there a cost benefit for AT&T. If not, walk away from the deal.

AT&T currently has over 1,900 vice presidents (AVP, VP, SVP) according to WebPhone. That's all you need to know about how serious they are about streamlining the company.
what’s the point of a sale manager the reports to a director that reports to an AVP? they all do nothing anyway other than send emails for clout they didn’t earn. get rid of two levels and save the money you need.
We reorg to reorg. I guess it makes it look like we are progressive in our mgmt philosophy.

A useless exercise, no value or efficiencies are gained. Just a bunch of window dressing.
Agreed. This was a five year ago move. T needs to rid itself of the bureaucracy that’s imbedded in the corporate structure. As long as that remains we will continue to be a laggard in the industry. This starts at the top- clear out unnecessary levels of mgmt. until decisions are truly made at the level they should be, we will never see the true potential of the company.
