Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Working longer hours only deepens the agony

No one gets paid overtime and given the chronic under resourcing, which is only going to get worse as every one either leaves or gets WFRed , we all work longer hours than we should but we only have ourselves to blame. Just work your contracted hours and not a minute more, do NOT go the extra mile and if any manager is daft enough to call you on it, ask them why you should.

Well said! (OP @1ckz+1iBGVjvN ). In essence, aren't we preventing any positive changes here by working long hours, because the company takes our hard work for granted and then there is no need for DXC to work on improvements?

I am at work for 40 hours and maybe work 20, I post 50 -60 hours on dxc-time because I was told too by my manager.

I will NEVER work more than 40 hours again for this company as I don't even get paid for 40 anymore. No pay raises in years , I say duck DXC and let Mikey do it

I work with managers who started their career’s in the 80’s and still act like it. They think people should just work overtime with no pay and that’s the norm. Also they’re paying 1990’s wages. Unfortunately for them they can’t hire anyone with any skills and the people they do get don’t show up for work…

Google quiet quitting.. I have been doing this for years in Chorley.

Still hate the company and clients, at least I have a good work life balance as I head towards retirement..hopefully redundancy in a few years. fingers crossed.

Please post the email received asking to cancel your leave and work more hours.

When you work late hours and more than your regular hours, we appreciate that. Please take a picture of that and post it in the culture week. You folks are true examples.

Well obviously I agree as I made the original post, which is why I thought it hysterically funny today getting an email telling me to work extra hours, cancel leave etc. etc.
NOT A CHANCE!
But it does show how divorced from reality DXC leaders are. They really think they can keep treating staff like dirt and there will be no consequences.

Tell them exactly where they can stick it or they will keep doing it.

That’s right, always spread the sh-t. Everybody needs to get some.

Working extra hours without extra pay is making a rod for your and your colleagues back.

You’re hiding the sh-t show from senior management. Instead you need to spread the sh-t.
