Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT is in trouble folks

Mass layoffs is a short term lever but the long term problems still exist. The culture does not endorse productivity and growth. It promotes everything that leads to stagnation.

As a previous shareholder why the heck has the top four tiers of management not been shown the door. Their performance the past 10 years has been dismal. A good ole boy network patting each other on the back in each and every conference call. All trying to act like the cool guys of technology like Elon. They will never be when they are from the Telstar I generation. CEO's still thinking things work like that amazes me. Good Night AT&T

Current trajectory is not sustainable for AT&T. Total business transformation is required if they are going to make it beyond the next 5 years. Wireline is here to stay, no one will buy it so it will need to be stripped down to increase revenue margins (aka life support). Will have to rely on wireless growth to fund the business which will be a challenge since we have always relayed on M&A strategy to make fast cash. Well we know how well our current M&A strategy is working for us…. Major headcount reductions required to keep the company afloat beyond 7-10 years.

ATT will not exist in its current form within the next 10 years. Likely sooner.

Agree, the stock closed below 17 today, that’s the lowest it’s been since 1995! And there are no signs of it rebounding. I don’t think T planned on mass layoffs but they may not have a choice. Anyone know and real inside info on upcoming force reductions??

Enough said? …

AT&T shares are down 38.8% from the 52-week high, while T-Mobile stock is down just 3.3% from its all-time high.

AT&T stock is working on its third straight weekly decline and its eighth weekly decline in the last 10 weeks.

Once the $18 level gave way, that was the line in the sand that told bullish traders to change their tune and bail. Now below all of its key moving averages, AT&T stock is barreling toward its multi-year low of $16.62.
