I'm a management retiree currently on the $4,200 annual stipend. I have Aetna as a provider and am happy with the cost and coverage. I am anticipating that the $4,200 option will not be extended as of the end of 2023. Is there general agreement with that assessment among other retirees or do some think that the $4,200 option will be extended beyond 2023? Even rumors might have some valid insight.
Also, are there any retirees out there who are currently on the UHC option? What is your overall satisfaction with the cost and coverage regarding that option? My view is that the UHC plan is just an expense saving ploy by Stankey since it is my understanding that retirees must pay for Part B monthly premiums out of pocket outside of the UHC plan itself. Have any retirees switched from one plan to the other? What is their experience regarding costs and coverage?
What say you? Any comments would be appreciated regarding your thoughts on the future and/or your current experience with either option.
