Rejecting AT&T strategy set by this leadership is always a smart move

Combined HBO Max and Discovery+ to launch in 2023 as Warner Bros. Discovery rejects AT&T strategy

Comments by executives including Chief Executive David Zaslav amounted to a full-throated rejection of the WarnerMedia strategy under the studio’s former owner, AT&T. Zaslav was blunt in his endorsement of a more disciplined strategy, in contrast with the growth-at-any-costs tactics that became common in the streaming business.

The leadership didn't cause the merge to fail. The employees who lacked the ability to execute did.

Case in point. Cable merged an infrastructure business with a content business. Why can NBC and Comcast merge successfully and we can't? The reason is that the people who make it all work simply didn't get the job done.

The more we can see under the hood of our corporate leadership, the more its apparent the 15 years have been nothing short of a debacle In leadership
This is yet another example of why we desperately need new leadership at the c level and board.
