Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

MEMBERSHIP CHAMPION

So some donut deleted my original question so I ask again. The membership credit person at our club acts like a salaried manager yet they don’t have keys or options like a manager. What power do they hold and where do they fall in the hierarchy.

The position is called "Sales and Training Manager". It is a salaried manager position. Their job is to drive metrics in Membership through SOF and training Associates.

I haven’t been there in awhile so speaking from past experience. At one point my club management gave the position to a couple people based just on their numbers. The one had little to no leadership experience but she liked to think so. The other was just a hot mess and hated by all. I had no respect for them especially since they couldn't do my job of member service even with days and days of training.

They are considered an Area Manager and don’t hold much power. They would be at the bottom of the manager chain, but this all depends on your CM. My CM gave ours keys and she makes people call her “Manager Kate”.
