A small bit of jobs in the Bay Area, but not Southern California. What gives HR?

@ceg. Whether SF or NYC the standard of living is ridiculously high.
Lot of talent leaving CA. Economic evolution is real, and eventually the economy there is going to crash.
If that happens, maybe some day we'll be outsourcing to cheap labor in CA instead of India.
what a shame the bank has a HUGE market share in CA, tons of talent here as well-- but Wells discourages hiring in the golden state. In other words, thanks CA for all the business, but we won't hire here because you are too expensive and blah blah reasons
or better yet...perhaps it is actually retaliation for the CA controller kicking Wells out of servicing Muni bonds around 2016. Too tired to list all the other reasons. CA screwed themselves out of a profitable jobs, stupid short sighted...
Hate for CA is strong, pretty much a national pastime. Choosing CLT is nothing short of insourcing...then those jobs will be outsourced.
Second the govt corruption. The traffic is the worst in the world. Horrible. Hopefully you have a reliable car and don't mind paying the highest gas taxes in the us. Gas prices are very high (by american standards).
Would suggest have at least 3 or 4 roommates. It may fun. Pretend you're back in uni or on some tv fun show
California is too pricey for WF, in all likelihood. They'll still offer banking here--it's too rich a market to walk away from. But roles in back office/tech can be filled for half the price or less in cheap labor markets like India, NC and Texas.

Since at least 2008.
High paying hub is transitioning from CA to NY, been moving that way pretty heavily the last year.
This place can't afford bay area type talent, highly skilled talent makes 500k- 1Mil a year or more with options. Charlie would rather hire a dozen Indians and see nothing of value done in a chaotic mess.
You mean internally? They won't offer a job that pays $200k in CA when they can offer it for $100k in Charlotte or maybe even $35k in India. It's just a money game right now and they don't care what kind of talent. Well, unless you're a white male. Then it's a problem regardless of money
