Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I'm getting so tired of this

I can't do my job properly or efficiently because I'm working closely with people who've been here for at least six months and still don't know what they're doing. The worst part is, they replaced a guy (and yes, they, two of them) who was amazing at his job and made my job so much easier in return. But HON decided to lay him off and now we have this aberration. Don't ever tell me pay-motivated layoffs don't have long-lasting consequences.

In my case an entire business unit was moved to another US city, so glad no one with a family relocated and most chose to go elsewhere. Unless you are looking to move out of your current location, never relocate with family for HON

Same here and in many other parts of the business. All the talent and knowledge either walked off or were kicked out due to a revolving door of mo--ns in leadership who had no idea of their value. I wonder for how much longer we can continue milking legacy products? I guess no one cares, by the time it is too late C-Suite will have royally filled their coffers.

I can’t get my work done because 1. I no longer care 2. People who are entrenched in the Honeywell way are just in-the-way. 3. I live in fear of being given two more people to train in that “Honeywell way”

The level of competence has degraded to the point where many organizations like this are entering meltdown phase, where things implode very quickly. The lies and the pretending can no longer cover it up ...

They want all new people. If you’re in O.N.T. and they R.I.F. , you then can keep wages down. Because you’ll never reach your top pay scale, and you will be replace by college student. Who just got out of college. You’ll be able to pay them. Lowest salary the company offers. They’re just happy to get a job right out of college. So they can jumpstart their career, and they will really drink the Kool-Aid. Even if they’re understaffed, they work twice as hard. Since it’s their first job and they are getting their experience. They can suffer for a while. When they get five years experience they get a new job.

If not the company will give my PIP, then RIF them. Then the process starts all over.

Why don't you look at the bright side: those two guys can show you how to update your profile picture on social media with your tongue sticking out between your fingers, that would be so cool.
