Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Imagine if we had transparent leadership

We spend so much time speculating about things that shouldn't be a secret. Things that the leadership should be communicating to us instead of trying to hide for whatever inexplicable reason. Transparency shows respect for employees. The lack of transparency shows how little they think of us.

“ Out of curiosity, what are some things that you think leadership is nontransparent about? Or being secretive about?”

Are you suggesting they ARE actually transparent?!?! Or are you just trying to find out what the behind-the-scenes scoop is?

They say that the employees are their #1 asset, but in truth it's the all mighty $.

I was in a town hall recently where an executive tried to tell us that offshoring is taking place because “it is hard to fill positions” and going overseas “broadens the pool of talent” and has “nothing to do with cost cutting”.

At the same time we had someone with relevant knowledge and experience who we could have hired on our team but couldn’t, simply because they weren’t in the correct hub location for the position.

Seems that everything coming from upper management recently has been nothing but cognitive dissonance and lies…

@gep that's why leadership is in quotes.

Winning success for a business: Have most of your employees hate the board and executive "leadership" team.

Most importantly, lack of transparency means untrustworthy.

I would rate Charlie and our Board’s trustworthiness at zero, on a scale of 0 to 100.

Imagine a country without employment at will/whim doctrines. Image a country that was a business enterprise masquerading as a "country". Imagine employee rights. Imagine an employment agreement legally binding the US empire employer to those rights/laws. Imagine...now wake up. You're in the vile US whereby the leaders do NOT give a rats rearend abt the people. We're there for taxes to pay for endless war de jour and "enemy" of the month club

Couldn't have said it any better. Total disrespect and disdain for employees. NOT a winning strategy.
