I was informed this morning that I had to wear a yellow vest going forward. Apparently there was some sort of accident in the northeast region. I guess more accidents are averted when green is worn? I just don't get the mindset of what people are thinking that make these decisions. It appeared to me that an orange vest would be appropriate and visable. The Amazon vests have a clear pocket and a bunch of other pockets and pen holder thingies (way more practical than the velcro company issued junk.) I will be purchasing a new yellow vest to keep everyone safe....happy 32nd anniversary to the SMART system!! Question for any backroomers out there....do you ever verify the freight receiver?? Daily?

I’m a long term backroom person. Yes, we review the freight recap daily. Catch a lot of mistakes there. Of course it doesn’t get done on our days off.
Of all things to get upset about the color of the vest seems ridiculous. It could be the straw that broke the camels back, which I get. Yes I verify the freight receiving everyday.
My guess is no on receiver verification
The yellow vest is an OSHA requirement
90 percent of Sam's and Walmart's problems now are the co--y, self centered snobs that work here. I agree with the person wearing an orange vest. All the pettiness is ridiculous...but rules are rules!
I get a new vest everyday. Just like a set of throw away scrubs, no sense in wearing a dirty vest.
Plus I do not use my money to purchase something that the company has to provide.

Of all the things the company asks associates to do, wearing a yellow vest is about the easiest.
