I didn't want to take the risk. I waste time and money on gas by coming to the office.
Now I see that there also seem to be many who have simply ignored requests to return to the office without being fired. Is that possible?
I mean, I’m not jealous, I’m glad someone managed to get away with working from home, but it’s pretty amazing that they succeeded at it, since I have a feeling I’d be fired automatically if I hadn’t returned to the office.

Rtw costs the company money. Electric, water ,gas ,repairs, intangibles.

You are obligated to follow directives you have been given as long as they are not illegal. Those that don’t may find themselves on a short list for departure. You don’t dictate your working environment to your employer. Those that believe they do are not living in the real world. Those in right to work states are on borrowed time.
They will have a hard time justifying termination if the designation was not made in a deterministic justifiable way. For my organization, there is no determinable pattern as to who got what designation.
We deserve the right to telecommute! We will find employment elsewhere if need be.
I don’t care who you are, there is no way ignoring the specific RTO policy for your group will be overlooked allowing you or anyone to continue to WFH.
Building badge swipes and login location are tracked. You will be noted as noncompliant and providing a justification for termination.
It could be that people will get away with it for awhile. It might be a factor that puts them on the next surplus list.

I hate the office, time for T to acknowledge us gen Zer's and millenials. We will not work for a company that does not permit accross the board telecommuting. Talk about an old stodgy company, get with it Stankey!
I only know one person who hasn't ignored it and now they are counting commute time as work so good for them.

No one cares about RTO. T will not performance manage anyone with this economy. Plenty of great paying jobs outside T
You entry level newbies are entertaining. T has 200K employees. You could get hit by a bus tomorrow and they wouldn.t care. Do you really think they won't fire you?
