Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Randy and Stankey's legacy

Thanks to those two clowns, AT&T will be remembered as one of the most mismanaged companies in history. It takes some skill to make so many wrong moves and mess up so many acquisitions in such a relatively short period, but they sure as he-l managed to do it. And they got paid millions to do it! Tell me there isn't something wrong with that picture?

I have to admit watching Stankey go from media mogul know it all to doofus failure who shaves his head and eats hot wings to appeal to the kids.

*TMobile Disaster cost shareholders upwards of $100B and still counting.
*Dish TV cost shareholders at least $25B.
*Time Warner cost shareholders at least $25B.
*In aggregate at least $150B pi---d away blindly tossing darts trying to create a legacy for themselves.
*Right out of the gate Stankey chased off all the Time Warner talent.
*TMobile will damage ATT for years to come. They were down for the count and Stankey and Randall rang the bell early for them.
*It's the culture folks. Yes men all around. Any normal non psychofant ATT employee thinks Stankey and Stevenson are buffoons but they have people telling them to address employees in pajamas with a Christmas list.

Anyone who thinks T will retire $150B of debt in 5-10 years is delusional.

At least Ratty dressed the part. I never saw Ratty have a Pajama Party like the Stink!

Remember that it is the board of directors approving things behind the scenes.

T is in 3rd place in wireless. I’d say they have nowhere to go but up.
The issue is they have too much debt, too many outstanding shares and poor upper mgmt. that’s not a recipe for success. The company scrapped the share buyback program, that should help to understand the financials.
What needs to be understood is while we are spending billions on paying down debt and buying back shares, our competitors will use their money to build infrastructure and create new uses for the network.
I give it a decade before it is truly on par with VZ. That’s a long road if you plan to be employed here.

T is not going anywhere in terms of dying! My organization is doing very well and growing very quickly. There's lots of work scheduled and it's actually starting to get busier. We're forced to hire several more techs just to handle the work load. I do believe T can turn things around even though it has the massive debt still on the books. It still generates a huge revenue stream which makes the debt manageable. It might take 5 years or more, but it can be done.

Both will go down as the worst CEO's in corporate history. They destroyed an iconic company dating back 125 years. They did it in the short span of 10 years!

For those of us stuck, it's now become our legacy, too!

Truer words never spoken. Sad watching a great company die under their enormous egos.
