Mike and HR tells us pay raises should not keep pace with inflation. They have no such qualms about corporate profits racing ahead of both.

Y’all know your paid too much. Especially in the ABU!
Is it really “Hot Take” or “Take It In The Shorts from Mike?” I hear that it only hurts the first time.
@1pzn+1hl4P8w2 Are you from the past?
Chevron employees need to be realistic about their future. “Retirement and Medical Insurance” will eventually be replaced by “Social Security and Medicare / Medicaid.” Wages will be degraded to just above the individual states’ prevailing minimum wage. Employees will be encouraged to apply for subsidized Chapter 8 Housing. Chevron employees have long lived a an inflated lifestyle. It’s time for the employees to face the future. You don’t need as much as you think.

RM did MW dictate this to you before you posted on here?? Wasn't it meant to be on LinkedIn
All employees should embrace the pay and benefits cuts that are coming. The future standard-of-living expectations need to be more realistic and in line with the policies of Wal-Mart. Such forward-looking organizations are already setting the example of a secure and modest future for you and your family.
Unfortunately, I will need to replace my (perfectly functional) 4 year old phone soon, due to the changeover in voice calling bands. That's a literal need, not a bougie "need".
I live small and save as much as I can, but to see my savings rate cut so much over the last six months when I'm already doing all I can? It hurts. But no, keep talking about how we just need to buckle down and give things up instead of expecting to share in the industry's good fortune.
Cut back spending? Seriously 😳, why? I’m not lowering my standard of living, and missing out on fun. I like Starbucks coffee, with a shot, in my year old car as I drive while talking on my latest edition cell phone.
The free food giveaway is at the southern border. It’s a real Smorgasbord for all those people.
Not a joke but does anyone know if and where the free food program that was available during lockdown in Pleasanton still exists? I hear you could drive up and get a bag of groceries monthly. Just exploring all our options because we are feeling the squeeze. Thanks
Take one for the company. Move to a trailer park. Eat powered eggs and drink Carnation milk. Bake a can of Spam for the holiday meals. Visit soup kitchens for lunch. Ride a bicycle everywhere or walk. Practice Life Simplification. Watch trees grow for entertainment. Witness Mike and HR enjoy your misery.
@1pzn+1hl4P8w2 Hi Mike! It's good to see you visit these boards still!
For those of you who are raised in the US, you need to learn to save and not spend all you earn, it is not that difficult. Just because you earn 6 figure salary does not mean to spend it all and complain about inflation. You can have a very comfortable life with around $75,000 per household with 3 kids. If you have financial difficulty, look into your spending habits and cut some booze and Starbucks drinks and maybe you do not need to change your car or phone every few years.
Furthermore, Chevron has spent more on enriching the shareholders through buybacks and dividends than on Capex. Who benefits the most from a high share price? Yeah, the executives. All at the cost of shaping Chevron into a company that can whether market cycles and contribute to America’s energy independence by investing in the operation in the US. I can’t fault PB because he’s playing the game within the rules. Wall Street values low inventory, high cash flow, and all of the usual stock bolstering moves mentioned above. It’s all legal and working for them. I doubt PB and MW have to fill up their own tanks to commute, so they don’t feel the crunch like us minions.
