Most T employees are stagnate in their positions and are no longer as marketable as they would like to be. They're stuck at T not only because they're a little long in the tooth, but also because of their lack of skills that can be used at another company. If you're a technician, that's one thing, but if you sit behind a desk, you might want to improve your marketability!

Marketability is overrated, working in large corporations like T or IBM, or CSCO, or JNJ or whatever, means your an expendable cog, if you happen to be on the wrong team/project/department at the wrong time, you could be gone in the next round. As others have said ,It's just a job at the end of the day, hard work doesn't mean jack because it doesn't isolate you from poor decisions leadership makes.. so come in collect your $$ do your work and live your life.
List the skills. The marketable ones.

There's a lot of bu-----t jobs in every corporation. I see the entire thing differently, not ki----g yourself collecting a paycheck till you hit your number and retire, that's you playing the game to win
