Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

This is what I think makes these layoffs even more illogical and unnecessary than usual. We have huge attrition currently. Some of the best people are leaving, meaning that people who earn the most are leaving. That's not good for the bank but when you want to slash costs those are the people that you target. So if so many are leaving on their own, including the targeted group, and leaving us all with too much work and not enough people to do it, why exacerbate it by adding layoffs into the mix?
