Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Hitting the job market vs waiting and seeing what happens

With the threat of layoffs as present as ever I have made my decision that I’ll be leaving this company. I'm still not sure about the method of my departure.
I’m sure I will be laid off at some point in the near future, so my dilemma is whether to wait it out and see what happens,or hit the job market as hard as I can. Some say that the job market will rapidly shrink when recession hits, so it will be harder, no doubt. Any advice?

Good luck

In my interviews, it feels like China already takes over American banking system - they scan my resume and specifically ask things not in my experiences.

It's like I don't gave a chance unless I can speak manderin

More H1-B needed from China, experience not necessary because there's no qualified American. American will train and be fired

This mass layoff has been in the works for months. What's to stop US Bank from doing this over and over until it's stripped down to bare essentials and under paid new hires with no experience? Start looking now because US bank has really slid downhill since they eliminated wholesale and went retail only.
All the executives could care less about the employees so long as they stay rich and happy. They're screwing themselves and going to pay a steep price for a hard earned lousy reputation.

Take charge of your own future, regardless of what happens with the bank, life is too short.

Easier to find a job when you have one than waiting until you don't. It's not like you will be leaving a wonderful company. You wont miss our fake woke bank.
