I'm a little over 11 months into my current role at WF. Can I apply to other roles knowing that the hiring process is slow enough that if it goes to an offer, it'll be after my 12 month anniversary?
Or is there a check along the way that puts a hard stop to an application unless I'm already officially 12+ months into my role?
I would wait a few weeks and not worry about it, but I hate my job with a passion, and a being able to apply a few weeks earlier would help my stress levels.
As far as I know you can post before you have enough time in position given your managers approval.
You can post out before 12 months if you have a manager’s blessing.

Why the he77 would you want to, if you're taking the time to interview, do it somewhere that wants you and treats you like a human being, interview OUTSIDE.
From working in HR Recruiting... ask your boss and answer the questions honestly. Selecting no is an automatic decline (at least it was prior to WD). And as a recruiter I wouldn't move anyone forward if they said in role for 12 months when it wasn't true. Most managers don't care if you post out within 30-60 days of 12 months knowing the hiring process takes so long. Also if your department is on the chopping block they prefer to post out early to reduce the number of severance pay outs... saves the bank money
I did. I was asked about why I was looking before 12 months - so as long as you have a reasonable answer for that you are ok
Just do it. its a screening question and the process is slow. half the time the hr people ask u the q again anyway as if they dont have ur responses. you could always say you thought it had been a yr if asked. personally, i wouldnt ask for permission. instead i would simply say in my 1x1 i want u to know im looking for other opportunities. then they cant say they were unaware when u post out
Workday has something called ‘Time in current position’. Does anyone know what this means? It says i’ve been in current position for 10 years, but i’ve had a promotion, three title changes, and at least four managers in that timespan.
title change is a bit different, did your duties change? did you get promoted? if so then likely yes. you need manager permission
If you hate your job with a passion, I doubt an internal transfer would do miracles. Is there any reason why you are not trying outside?

it's 12 mo and it's a yes/no question. if you aren't in your job 12 months at time of posting and don't have your managers blessing and select yes you are lying and could be terminated if your boss wants to be a jerk about it.
Double check the job application online. I think internal candidates are asked if they have been in their role for at least 6 months — not one year, in which case no issue.
