The quote from the HR leader made me realize Wells is never gonna get out of the headlines. The reason being is we won’t ever have competent leadership. Who wants to attach their name and career to Wells Fargo? Here you have a relatively new HR leader who is left to answer for practices that were established long before her.

As much as we want Charlie out, it’s not like they can hire someone better. Unless Wells kicks up and takes on some young up and comer they’re going to likely be stuck with low performing leaders just trying to steady the ship until the next scandal comes out.

I’m not one of those people that think wells is going to be sold or go out of business but I don’t see things getting much better. Maybe they lobby hard and get some people in congress to take off the pressure. That seems more likely than them actually correcting what needs to be addressed

My thoughts (maybe others share).

The board is as corrupt as CS
A true leader would stay away from WF based on weekly scandals
HR/Recruitment is a joke: from internal posting for months without recruiter engagement to most departments interviewing candidates without a job postings and delaying filling positions while they wait for so and so.

The best replacement for King Charles is someone who is on the rise in Banking. An important part of this person will be excellent leadership. This person would come to Wells with a special zest, and amazing people skills. Lastly, CS groupies would be kicked out in short time.

Just as a PSA. If you are white, you will have a hard time getting a job or promoted here now. They have opted to prefer people of color over qualified candidates.

Yeah someone like that would be great but why would they taint their resume with Wells Fargo…?

I wouldn’t have to throw a rock too far to hire someone better. Charlie has accomplished nothing other than lining his own pockets. Same with our spineless Board.

Put someone in who loves banking and genuinely wants to save WFC for the sake of the shareholders, the US banking system, the employees and American jobs. Give us someone who sees the bigger picture and has a moral compass. Give us a leader who is man enough to make bold moves and sacrifice short- term gains for the long- term health of the organization.

It doesn’t have to be a big name, but they will become a big name when they show the world how it’s done.

We know why our HR leader got the job and now we must suffer. What we need is ethics and humanity both of which are lacking in the Wells Fargo bonus driven culture. The shitshow will continue.

OP: My only disagreement with your post is that you refer to these people as "leaders". They are not leaders, they are executives.
